Tabulating Transparency started with these little wax drawings I made. I had six of them but couldn't figure out how to display them; they looked best held up to the window. Miraculously I found five random wooden boxes in my closet of potential collage material that fit the odd shaped drawings perfectly (I had to build the sixth one). I lined them with a silver tape and wired them up like the Souvenir series. I had to get more mileage out of my newly acquired electrical soldering skills!
