This project began as an exploration in materials and resulted in six acrylic block collages. It was a practice test for an upcoming book entitled Parts Seldom Seen (coming soon!). In preparation for this project I accidentally shot twelve double-exposed photos. I put pairs of photos back to back between different layers of acrylic that I had scored with maps, symbols and legions and fused them together with this very cool acrylic glue. These funky free-standing, double-sided blocks are what I ended up with.
