3rd St-Cullom Ave-Willy St-Winnebago is the second series from a collaborative body of work that I made with Lauren Garber and Ashley Towne. This project began in 2002 with three packages of small cards and the idea of trying a round robin type of project. The three of us attended UW-Madison together but are now scattered around the country. This project was our excuse to stay in touch.

We each took a packet of 100 cards to our studios and the collaboration was under way. As the pieces were circulated through the mail we found that we each used our individual vocabulary, which resonated a familiarity. As we responded to each other's marks we began to form larger thoughts. In February 2005 the three of us came together in Madison at Winnebago Studios to add a final layer of ideas/imagery to a select number of the remaining cards. Using our addresses, dotted lines, arrows and other linear devices we connected the individual cards, much like the project itself had done for the three of us.

Long Story Short are available as individual rectangles for $100 each. Combine as many as you like to create a complete piece, and add $100 for a custom framing.
